Based on official estimates of NEPG countries (BE, D, GB, FR, NL) surfaces of potatoes increased by +2.7% and led to an estimated +4.6% of the harvest.
The NEPG (producers of potatoes Northwest Europe: BE, D, GB, FR, NL) estimates that the total area of ??potatoes in 5 major producing countries will increase by +2.7%.
In all countries of NEPG, the area of ??potatoes increased with the exception of Britain, where the surfaces are estimated a decrease of -2% compared to last year.
Based on the average yield of NEPG of the past 5 years, the total harvest in 2014 could be 25,240,000 tons, an increase of +4.6% compared to 2013.
