FJ
In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 via cold chains in China, the General Customs Administration has announced the intensification of inspections of imported frozen products.
Exports to China must not have been contaminated with the coronavirus during production, processing, storage or transportation. According to the spokesperson for the General Customs Administration, China has stopped imports of frozen food products from 124 suppliers in 21 countries and where employees had been infected with COVID-19.
Stricter requirements are adopted after the discovery of coranaviruses on the packaging of various products. Test performed on approximately 1.3 million cold chain products revealed that 47 products were positive.
Another measure taken to stem the spread of COVID-19 is the disinfection of ports. The outer packaging of 13.17 million products has been disinfected in ports across the country.
