Malaysian pineapples soon in the Chinese market

Malaysia and China signed in 2013 an agreement for Malaysia to export 100 containers (40 feet) of pineapple per month. The start of exports was scheduled for early 2014.
But first pineapple export took place in 2014. Because of a missing approval of the Chinese health authorities , the expedition was postponed. Since then, the Chinese health services came to visit the plantations and monitor control methods .
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-Industry , pineapple exports to China will really begin this year. From June or July.
China will be the No. 1 pineapples customer from Malaysia, Singapore and ahead of the Middle East.
