Customers can enjoy Kenyan avocados all year round - Barrinate Farms Ltd increases its production
Based in Nairobi, Barrinate Farms provides agricultural training and extension services to small scale farmers and organizations, and assists farmers to learn skills in sustainable farming methods and appropriate technologies, that reduce pollution. More and more rural women from Kenya are hired by the company, which enforce its social and economic positive influence in the country.
Besides that Barrinate Farms grows and exports high quality fruits and vegetables, like mangoes, apple mangoes, peanuts, sweet potatoes and different varieties of organic avocados: hass, fuerte, jumbo harvested all the year round. “We increased our production this year and doubled the harvest up to 50-70 tons per month” – explained Mrs Magoha, CEO of the company.
Now with Global Gap certification, recently acquired, Barrinate is targeting European markets especially to Spain, Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
