The Unio and the AVA-Asaiah denounces the special offer made by Carrefour

Carrefour has launched a new slogan :” for purchases over 30 €, we offer you 4 kg of oranges”.

 According to the AVA-Asaiah, the Association of Farmers of Valencia, La Unió and Llaurador, this slogan is an offend. They accused Carrefour of unfair practices.

 Giving oranges to attract consumer is considered scandalous. Association said that prices paid to producers of citrus are ridiculous.

Prices of oranges in stores go from 0.49 to 0.79 euro cents per kilo. This offer will change consumer perceptions about prices of citrus fruits and may divert them to other products.
