Decline in production of broccoli and cauliflower

The fall in production of broccoli and cabbage will cause a decline in exports.
The supply of Spanish broccoli and cabbage is low this year.
Proexport believes that the drop in production is close to 45% following disastrous weather with rain and floods damaging crops.
Spain had exports of 288 298 tons in 2011 is the
largest producer of broccoli and cauliflower in Europe, where it holds 44% market share. Murcia is the main producing area and accounts for 65% of total exports of broccoli and cauliflower.
