1st strawberries exports

Silifke on the Mediterranean coast, south - eastern Turkey , is among the largest strawberry production areas in the country. The strawberry cultivation there is an important source of income and work. The season of the strawberry in open fields begins mid-April to end in late July.

The strawberry grown in this region is well known and appreciated by consumers of the internal market and importing countries. 20,000 tons will be exported to Russia. Prices quoted are on the rise compared to the previous season. The applied standards and selected varieties are an export item of high choice.
