If the drop in visitors, marked mainly by fears related to Coronavirus; was noted, the quality of the exchanges and meetings was unanimously recognized. This edition was very active and allowed more qualitative, more targeted and more in-depth exchanges than usual.
Saint-Charles Export was present as every year at Fruit Logistica Berlin with a delegation equivalent to 2019. Within the Hall France, the stand with an area of 144m² welcomed 16 companies representing a wide range of products and services. Fruits and vegetables, of Spanish, Moroccan and French origin, conventional and organic. This panel was completed by the presence of a company with expertise in varietal research, a company specializing in sorting and packaging equipment, a Ssii and transporters / logisticians. As well as the commercial port of Port-Vendres.
As for Hall France, many exhibitors also noted a drop in visitor numbers (-30%) which, in contrast, made it possible to obtain more targeted and more qualitative contacts. In terms of customers, the fair being held in Berlin, the German, Austrian, Swiss, Polish, Czech markets, among others, are the first concerned, especially since Germany is the first client country outside France of the platform. It is therefore the perfect opportunity to make new contacts or reconnect. As a reminder, the volume marketed outside the national territory by Saint-Charles companies annually represents more than 700,000 tonnes of fruit and vegetables.
This edition was therefore very active despite the drop in attendance, and confirmed the essential place of FRUIT LOGISTICA Berlin in the "Fruits and Vegetables" sector. Some testimonials from exhibitors:
"Berlin remains the essential meeting place for companies interested in all origins of fruit and vegetables. This fair is an opportunity to meet both suppliers and customers, the German market still remaining a field which has great potential for our business."
“Given the specific nature of our activity, Berlin is an important trade fair. It is possible for us to meet our global partners, from all continents, in a very short time and without any downtime. In addition, this fair provides a real vision of the world of fruit and vegetables, a world that is changing and changing."
"Even if these are mostly maintenance contacts, our presence at this show is essential because our customers and suppliers expect to see us there."
