Today, in the French West Indies, over 200 hectares of melons are grown in Guadeloupe and Martinique. Production for export enables us to offer French early melon not only in France, but also in Italy, Switzerland, Belgium and Holland (Photo: facebook/philibonboyer).
A family business, BOYER began producing melons in Moissac (Tarn-et-Garonne, Occitanie region) in 1957. In 1968, BOYER created the PHILIBON brand. To meet consumer demand, the company began producing and exporting melons from Guadeloupe (French West Indies) in 1984.
Today, over 200 hectares of melons are grown in the French West Indies, in Guadeloupe and Martinique. Production for export enables us to offer an early French melon not only in France, but also in Italy, Switzerland, Belgium and Holland.
