Thailand forecasts an increase in fruit production and exports

In Thailand, in May 2024 fruit exports recorded a remarkable +128% in value over 1 month, according to TPSO (Trade Policy and Strategy Office), which predicts that this trend will continue for several months.

 

According to TPSO estimates, the country's total fruit production in 2024 will reach 6.76 million tonnes, up 2% on 2023.

 

Of this volume, TPSO estimates that around 26%, or 1.76 million tonnes, will be destined for the domestic market, while 74%, or 5.01 million tonnes, will be exported (3.11 million tonnes of fresh fruit, 1.9 million tonnes of processed fruit).
