Creating of the wikipedia of banana

Site for sharing information between projects and organizations for research and development, the wiki for bananas has been launched.

 
The site was developed with scientists from the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA). It may be used as a baseline and a strategic tool to fight against diseases that ravage crops.

 
The site (http://banana.mappr.info) is based on Wikipedia model, where anyone can add information. To ensure accuracy and reliability, the site will be regularly checked and the database corrected by scientists.

 
With the aim of facilitating access to reliable information and updates, the site focuses on Africa. If successful, it could be extended worldwide.
