Wal-Mart provides an online grocery service

Wal-Mart, the No. 1 global retailer, plans to launch its first online service of grocery and fresh products in the United States to increase its growth.
Food products represented last year 51% of revenues from Wal-Mart in the U.S, which is 131.7 billion dollars. This rate is up 2% from the previous year, and for the first time, the share of food products has exceeded half of sales (260 billion).
In search of new sources of growth, Wal-Mart plans to launch an online grocery service. This service would be a first for the group in the United States. Wal-Mart already offers a similar service in Japan, Mexico and the United Kingdom.
In the U.S., retail sales on internet grew 13% in 2010 and represent 176 billion. According to estimation, the amount will reach $ 279 billion by 2015, and grocery sales will represent about 10 billion dollars.
