MedFEL,the agricultural capital of the Mediterranean world

Medfel is the Fruits & Vegetables largest events in France. The fair is for 3 days the agricultural capital of the Mediterranean world.

Perpignan is now part of the new Greater Languedoc-Roussillon-Midi-Pyrénées, therefore the second agricultural region of France, is cultivated in many farms and hold many jobs. This large area is the 1st French region for the production of stone fruit (49%), melons (41%), chicory escarole (34%) and the second region for the production of tomatoes (10%).

The Languedoc-Roussillon has produced last year 25,000 tons of organic fruits and vegetables. The demand is increasing and should reach 30 000/35 000 tonnes per year to meet the needs.

Sur le MedFEL  la filière du biologique est de plus en plus représentée, 35 sociétés pourl'édition 2016.
