Italy
Thursday 02 May 2019
International conference, free thematic tours led by experts, exhibition space with the latest news in the field.
MACFRUT (8-10 May 2019) will focus on biostimulants, one of the most dynamic sectors of sustainable and innovative production, a hot topic in the light of recent European regulations.
Three initiatives were organized by Macfrut in collaboration with its scientific partner Agri2000.
An international congress scheduled for Friday, May 10 at 9:30 am entitled "Supply Chains meet the world of biostimulants". The conference will provide, through input from leaders of major European production companies, documentation of field results through the use of biostimulants, as well as the production needs that can be met by these products. Particular attention will also be paid to the effects and amendments of the new EU Fertilizer Regulation. An important event for agricultural technicians and entrepreneurs.
The second proposal consists of thematic visits, designed and guided by experts in the field, to raise awareness of new developments in the world of biostimulants, with scheduled visits to the stands of companies present, 5 visits, all free.
The 3rd proposal: an exhibition space in the South Hall, opposite the main entrance of the show.
"Consumers around the world are asking for an increasingly sustainable and high-quality fruit and vegetable sector," says Agri2000's Camillo Gardini, "and an agriculture that is more and more attentive to the environment and the territory. The new approach is based on four pillars: first, biostimulants, which can help the plant by increasing the uptake of nutrients in the soil and by increasing the quality of the fruits, then the evolution of the mechanics with the use of robots able to weed or harvest the crops mechanically, then the genetics, with the creation of more resistant plants and productions of better quality. Finally, biocontrol, that is to say the defense instruments (against fungi and harmful insects) by "natural" products, all this opens up new scenarios for fruits and vegetable producers for which we must be ready to accompany them ".
