1st lemons exports to South Korea

The Mexican state of Jalisco ( west of the country , bordering the Pacific) has just started its first shipments of limes on the South Korean market. Already 3 shipments of 3 tons each. Then shipments should increase and become weekly.

 

Limes of the state of Jalisco are already exported to many destinations , particularly to the United States, the Netherlands and Poland.

 

In a few years the export potential of the state of Jalisco has increased from 3000 tonnes per year few years ago  and from 10 to 12 000 tonnes currently. An estimated 70 % of its annual production of lemons (all varieties ) goes abroad .
