Casino Group will increase its purchases of bananas of 85%

This year, Casino Group hopes to sell bananas for more than $ 7.5 million and will increase its purchases by 85% in Colombia.

Casino confirmed the export of 832 containers of bananas from Colombia, worth more than $ 7.5 million, an increase of 85% compared to its purchase in 2010 of 448 containers.

The purchasing office "Global Sourcing Casino" in Colombia buys the production of 250 small farmers in the region of Magdalena. A delivery program per week was launched throughout the year with an offer of fixed prices for farmers.
