TOMRA Systems ASA, a global sustainable technology company headquartered in Norway, informed that current president and CEO, Stefan Ranstrand, will be replaced by Tove Andersen by November 1, 2021.
Tove will join TOMRA from YARA International, a global agricultural products and environmental protection agents provider, where she is currently executive vice president.
YARA International is also headquartered in Norway, has a turnover of $12.9bn, around 16.000 employees, operations in more than sixty countries and is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
Tove commented that it is really motivating to be joining TOMRA. She’s seen the great work that TOMRA was doing to enable the circular economy, at the same time ensuring resource responsibility and minimizing waste across the food, mining and recycling industries.
In 1972, TOMRA was designing, manufacturing and selling reverse vending machines (RVMs) for automated collection of used beverage containers.
Today TOMRA offers technology-led solutions that enable the circular economy with advanced sorting systems that optimize resource recovery and minimize waste in food, mining and recycling industries and is aiming to create a more sustainable future.
Stefan Ranstrand, TOMRA’s CEO and president since 2009, expressed his excitement about Tove joining Tomra, as she has significant background working for Yara, a company that also has sustainability at the core of its strategy. “She’ll be a great leader to take TOMRA into the future”
