XX International Congress of the Peruvian Mango will take place on November 11-12

The XX International Congress of the Peruvian Mango, organized by the Peruvian Association of Mango Producers and Exporters (APEM), will take place on November 11 and 12 in an online format.
The event will bring together all the actors of the production chain with the aim to exchange experiences.
Juan Carlos Rivera, general manager of APEM, informed that this year there will be more than 25 technical talks on such topics: practical protocols in packing houses, cultural work in mango plantations, biological control of pests, use of biopesticides, strategies to avoid irregular flowering and modification of harvest, agronomic strategies to improve fruit size, cleaning and disinfection in packing houses, and many more.
In addition, the National Mango Board (NMB) will organise a talk on the challenges in the marketing of mango in the United States in times of the pandemic, sustainability, food security, cutting-edge technology for precision irrigation and impact of plant material and hormonal treatments. The climate forecast for the 2021/22 season will also be shared.
