In Peru, the area planted fell by 7.6% for the year 2011
Agricultural areas are in decline in Peru for the 2010-2011 season.
The acreage planted and registered for the 2010-2011 season amounted to 978,900 hectares, according to the Desk of Economic Research, and Statistics of the Ministry of Agriculture.
This represents a decrease of 7.6% over the same period last season, where the cultivated area reached 1.05 million hectares.
360 500 hectares are listed in the South (36.8% of total), 268 800 in the center (27.5%) 221 900 in the north (22.7%) and 127 700 in eastern (13%).
