Official presentationof AfruCAT, arisen from the merger between Asofruit and Catalona Qualitat.
Last June, we announced you a new entity between Asofruit and Catalonia Qualitat.
Its name has been officially presented: AfruCAT. This new giant includes approximately 90 % of the production and the marketing of the fresh fruits of Catalonia.
AfruCAT is going to gathers more than 130 companies, representing thousands of fruits producers, 62 companies of expeditions. AfruCAT is going to concentrate a production estimated at more than 1, 5 million tons.
AfruCAT will have in the next months its final legal shape which will allow a complete process of merger in 2011.
