Peru's agricultural exports in the first quarter of 2024 reached $ 2.481 billion, registering a growth of 10.8% compared to the same period last year, according to Elizabeth Galdo, Peru's Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism.
During these three months, blueberries stood out for doubling their exports. Significant increases were also observed in the cocoa and cocoa derivatives sector, with 82.7%, and in lemon products, which grew by 85.6%.
Ica, La Libertad and Piura were positioned as the country's main agro-exporting regions. Ica generated $666 million with products such as grapes, blueberries and asparagus. La Libertad contributed $386 million thanks to its shipments of blueberries, avocado and asparagus, and Piura contributed $273 million, mainly grapes, mango and lemons.
