Egypt which produces 3.8 million tons of citrus will organize next October 1st international event dedicated entirely to its fruits.

Launch of the first edition of CITRUS EGYPT, International conference and exhibition entirely dedicated to citrus, organized by HEIA (Horticultural Export Improvement Association) and AEC (Agricultural Export Council).

CITRUS EGYPT will be held from October 12 to 13, 2014 in Cairo. The event is to present a comprehensive overview of the citrus industry in Egypt, its capacities and strategic plans for the future, but also welcome international visitors and exhibitors, import-export companies, technical and scientific centers, logistics operators and services.

Remember that Egypt has about 210,000 hectares of citrus, with an annual production of 3.8 million tons from which 1.2 million tons are exported (Saudi Arabia, Russia, Ukraine, UAE, Royayme Kingdom). With surfaces in constant expansion, the country plans to produce 8 milion tons of citrus in 2020.
