The olive and exporters of olive oil in India

Turkey wants to occupy the second place in the world in the olive oil sector and its promotion committee of olive and olive oil intensively works to make its products. By participating in this fair , Turkey is 25 percent of the Indian import market in olive oil.

India is a large consumer of olive pomace oil , but in recent years there has been an increase in extra virgin oil imports. India is an important new market for the Turkish sector. In 2013-2014 , approximately 10 000 tonnes were imported by India. This figure has increased by about 50-60 percent last year and Turkey is determined to take a part of it.

Other countries, such as China, are in the Promotion Committee of the program, who will attend the first half of 2015 with five other international fairs. Turkey believes to produce 650,000 tons of olive oil in 2023 .
