Increase in Peruvian onion exports

From January to May 2024, Peruvian onion exports increased in both volume and value compared to the same period in 2023, according to Agrodata Perú.

During this period in 2024, the country exported 60,740,615 kilograms of onions, valued at $27,361,149. In contrast, during the same months in 2023, Peru exported 58,790,541 kilograms of onions, totaling $18,628,906.

The main destinations in 2024 remained the United States (38% of total value), Spain (30%), Colombia (12%), Dominican Republic (8%), and other countries.
