Anecoop increased its sales
Anecoop, the largest Spanish cooperative leader in the marketing of fruit and vegetables, has announced a record turnover.
Anecoop billed for 485 million Euros during the 2009-2010 season, an increase of 4% over the previous season, according to the results approved by the General Assembly.
This increase in sales value last season make a contrast with the decline in tonnage of fruit and vegetables sold amounting to nearly 7%. Sales of fruits and vegetables accounted for just over 600,000 tons.
Stone fruits (45 million), watermelons (38 million) and persimmon (18 million) accounted for 75% of fruit sales. Anecoop has become the leading supplier of seedless watermelon in Europe under the brand Bouquet.
Anecoop exporting its products mainly to the European Union and associated countries to the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), which represent 97% of sales. Germany (132,000 tons) and France (131,000) are the 2 biggest markets for Anecoop followed by Spain (75,000 tons), Sweden, the United Kingdom, Italy, the Czech Republic and Poland.
The group Anecoop has now 35 years of experience , brings together 77 cooperatives and sells its products in over 50 countries.
