Record figure for the 2013 exports in Andalusia

Andalusia exceeds Catalonia with the sales of food products, excluding beverages.
The Andalusia in 2013 became the first Spanish community for the sale of food products, excluding beverages. According to Extenda data, exports of Andalusia reached 7 139.2 million EUR in 2013, up to +5% compared to 2012 and 22.4% of Spanish exports. Which positions Andalusia as N°1, surpassing Catalonia which totaled 6 998.1 millon EUR in 2013 (+3.2% increase and 21.9% of total).
Regarding products: tomatoes are at the top (+5.1%), followed by peppers (+10.1%), strawberries (-14%), cucumbers (-0.3%).
The main destinations of these exports are Germany with 1,182 million euros (+6.7% and 16% of the total), France with 978.9 million EUR (+13.4% and 13.2 % of total) and Italy with 832.2 million euros (-6.5% and 11.2% of the total).
