New Spitalfields Market in Leyton wants to improve its environmental performances and is going to maximize the recycling of its waste.
New Spitalfields Market, in Leyton (East London), has just signed a contract of 15,8 million pounds for the management and the waste recycling.
Countrystyle group, company of recycling, is going to supply its services for the management and the waste recycling of New Spitalfields Market which generates about 13.000 tons a year of mixed waste (fruits, vegetables, flowers, cardboard, wood, plastic, polystyrene...).
A new strategy of collection of waste will be organized to separate the various waste in specific tubes. Countrystyle will take care of the transport towards units of recycling (cardboard, plastic, palettes, and wood) and of composting (food waste).
New Spitalfields Market from Leyton wishes to improve its environmental performances. Its 140 storekeepers attract near a million vehicles a year and receive 700.000 tons of fruits vegetables and flowers every year.
