A new rail link for the transport of fruit

Opening of a new channel allowing the entry into China of fruit produced in ASEAN countries. The first train transported more than 150 tonnes of dragon fruit from Vietnam to China.

 

 

 

China Railway has announced the entry into service of a new Vietnam-China rail link. Departing from Dong Dang, in northern Vietnam, the first train loaded with more than 150 tonnes of dragon fruit arrived in Pingxiang, in the Zhuang autonomous region of Guangxi, southern China.

 

 

 

After this inaugural trip, 2 to 3 trains are scheduled each week, with more varieties of fruit.
