Strong growth of Spanish exports

According to data from FEPEX, Spanish exports of fruit and vegetables have grown significantly in January.
For the first month of the year, Spanish exports of fruit and vegetables grew by 25% by volume (1.1 million tons) and 19% in value (996 million).
For vegetables, the increase was 12% in volume (513,939 tons) and 15% in value (488 million). The most exported products are tomatoes with 120,435 tons (+5%), lettuce 82,422 tons (+5%) and cucumber 80,582 tons (+31%).
For fruit, the increase was 37% in volume (657,657 tons) and 23% in value (507 million). The most exported products are mandarins with 323,241 tons (+38%) and oranges with 228,797 tons (+26%).
The 4 main destinations for Spanish exports have all increased:
- Germany: 296,357 tons (+28%)
- France: 202 222 (+15%)
- United Kingdom: 137 549 (18%)
- Netherlands: 115,955 tons (+13%)
