Exports continue to grow

Impressive results for Peruvian exports, which rose again in value and volume.
Agricultural exports from Peru are steadily increasing in both value and volume.
The Department of Agriculture (MINAG) unveiled the results of the Peruvian agricultural exports for the month of January 2012 showing export revenues up 19.8% in January 2012 compared to same month last year.
The department explained this increase by higher export prices of
major products (coffee +16.5%, asparagus +32.4% , mangoes +36.2%, artichokes +16.9% and grapes + 5.2%). Higher volumes were shipped of coffee +103% ,grapes +21% and bananas +14.9%.
