Ailimpo estimates a 15% drop in production

The first estimates from AILIMPO expect a decline from 10 to 15% in lemon production.
The first estimate point to a lower production in 2012/2013 for lemons.
AILIMPO (Asociación de Limón y interprofesional Grapefruit) expects to produce between 850,000 and 900,000 ton, a decrease of 10-15
% compared to the production in 2011/2012. Quality is considered "very good."
The season will start in October and mark the end of the seaon in the southern hemisphere (Argentina, Uruguay, South Africa).
