The Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Control, Rosselhoznadzor, announced that from May 19, Russia suspended its prohibition decision of Turkish agricultural products on its territory .... except zucchini and pumpkins, which assumed to contain pests.
In the statement of one of the vice presidents of Rosselhoznadzor, Yuliya Svabauskene, the prohibition is suspended usually but this does not mean that provisional bans by product will not be issued, as is currently the case for salads according to product quality and compliance with quarantine conditions. In particular, when the presence of Californian thrips is detected.
This decision is very important for Turkey, who used all his diplomacy to have it taken. Russia was, until 6 months ago, its main market.
