Value of Peruvian bean exports exceeds $3 million through June

Between January and June 2024, Peru exported 1,337,434 kilos of broad beans, achieving a value of $ 3,133,765. This shows an increase compared to the 1,189,390 kilos exported in the same period of 2023, which reached a value of $ 2,650,183, according to Agrodata.

 

The United States was the main destination for these exports in 2024, with a value of $ 1,596,292, representing 50% of the total exported. Other important destinations included United Arab Emirates ($ 608,760), Canada ($ 234,916), Ecuador ($ 155,006), Kuwait ($ 148,002), Spain ($ 138,116), South Korea ($ 8,175), and other countries totaling $ 244,498.

 

It is important to note that during the whole year 2023, exports of lima beans from Peru reached 3,210,686 kilos, with a total value of $ 7,602,876.
