Shipments to countries outside Europe represent only 4% of total Spanish exports.
For the first two months of the year, Canada was the leading non-European destination for Spanish fruit and vegetables, with 16,587 tonnes in volume and €18.7 million in value, according to data processed by FEPEX.
After Canada, for the first 2 months of the year, follow the United States with €13.6 million and Brazil with €8.7 million.
Spanish exports to non-European countries in the first two months of the year amounted to €96.6 million, or 4% of Spain's total exports during this period.
In 2018, Canada was also the leading non-European destination for Spanish fruit and vegetables, totaling €93.4 million.
