Blue Whale+BVL = new global leader

Approximation of the groups Blue Whale  and BVL that allows the emergence of a new global player.

The Blue Whale Cooperative Group ( French # 1 on the market of apples and the first European exporter) based in the southwest, and the Cooperative Union BVL, based in the Loire Valley, chose to approach, signing a cooperation agreement.

The new entity becomes a global player with 230 000 tons of apples sold, generating 200 million euros in turnover. It totals 4,000 hectares of orchards and 300 producers. The achievement of a significant volume of production will allow the new entity to respond to the reality of global demand.

This approximation  will also help to increase awareness based on marks already firmly established, and have sufficient resources to continue to innovate (patents, new varieties, new processes, packaging ...).
