The repurchase of Copefrut values the company at 78 million dollars.
Inversiones fruticola SA, a Chilean holding company, has launched an offer to purchase 100% of the shares of the exporter Copefrut SA.
The takeover bid is valid until December; Inversiones fruticola offers to pay $ 1198.80 per share of Copefrut, valuing the company at 78 million U.S. dollars.
Inversiones fruticola includes the companies José Soler SA, Solfrut (72.2%), Inversiones Paso Ancho Ltd. (18.55%) and Ana Maria SA agriculture (9.25%).
The holding company wants to restructure Copefrut, reorganize its assets, and sell some of its agricultural land in Chile and Uruguay.
