Ecuador offers a varied range (Photo: mag.gob.ec).
Exhibiting for the first time at Fruit Logistica in 2002, Ecuador is this year the official partner country of the fair. An ideal opportunity to showcase its diverse production.

Bananas are the most exported fruit by Ecuador but the country plans to show the richness of its production by presenting products such as mortiño (Andean blueberry), pineapples, grapes, papayas, avocados and pitahayas .

Between 2014 and 2018, Ecuador exported more than $3.5 billion of fresh products, mainly to Russia (18%), the United States (16%), Italy (7%), Germany (7%), Turkey (5%) and China (4%). Export volumes increased by 15%, from 6.2 million tonnes in 2014 to 7 million tonnes in 2018.

During this period, Ecuador's main exports were bananas (6 million tonnes), plantains (212 tonnes), baby bananas (139 tonnes), pineapples (81 tonnes), broccoli (74 tonnes) and mangoes (60 tonnes).
