Chiquita acquires Atlanta AG

The US Chiquita group has officially acquired the German distributor of fresh fruit and vegetables, Atlanta AG. This acquisition increases the capital of Chiquita up to Euro 1,03 billion. Peter Jung has been appointed Atlanta's new president.
