US apple exports to Taiwan will be suspended if further codling moth larvae are detected in shipments.
Codling moth larvae were detected in a shipment of Washington apples in mid-November, following a similar detection in October.
If there is a third detection, then US apple exports to Taiwan will be automatically suspended, and reopening the market could be a lengthy process.
