Only Vietnam and Ecuador are supplying the dragon fruit market in China this year, 2024.
China's dragon fruit imports declined through August 2024, registering a 39.73% drop in value, totaling $148.9 million. According to advisor Giovanny Decker, volume decreased by 37.14%, reaching 163,000 tons, which is 96,000 tons less than the previous year. Only Vietnam and Ecuador supply this market, with shares of $147.6 million and $1.2 million, respectively. Guangdong, Shanghai, Guangxi, Fujian, and Yunnan account for 70.6% of purchases, standing out with $41.4 million, $29.1 million, $13.0 million, $12.4 million, and $9.2 million, respectively.
