The volume of blueberries exported from Morocco has increased fourfold since the 2017/18 season.
The volume of blueberries exported from Morocco has increased fourfold since the 2017/18 season.
According to local media reports, during the 2023/24 season (July to June), Morocco exported a total of 67,300 tonnes of fresh blueberries, up 25% on the previous season.
The main destinations for these exports were Spain (20,100 tonnes, up 11% on the previous season), the United Kingdom (14,600 tonnes, up 30%), the Netherlands (14,500 tonnes, up 42%), Germany (4,300 tonnes, up 25%) and France (3,900 tonnes, up 19%).
Another performance was the volume exported to Eastern European countries (Poland, Estonia, Ukraine, Czech Republic), which reached 2,100 tonnes, up 16% on the previous season.
