Held in Agadir last May 21rst, The fifth Morocco Tomato Conference organised by Greensmile showed full attendance with 600 participants and 66 exhibitors.
Like with the Morocco Berry conference, organized annually in november, the reknown training and matchmaking company Greensmile gathered for the fifth time the leading Morocco and European players of the fresh tomato sector. Held in the convention centre Les Dunes D’Or, the conference showed full attendance with 600 participants inclusive 200 International delegates, coming from 20 different countries. The conference program was divided in 3 major cessions: tomato market trends, strategies and innovations in the tomato cultivation for a resilient future, cutting edge techniques toward performance. This last cession included 4 technical workshops forcussing on farm labor, on the ideal greenhouse for Agadir and the Mediterranean area, on the management priorities at farm level and on digital agriculture.

“This is a structural event for such a key export sector for our country, by helping the compagnies to find better solutions and improve their competitive advantage at production and market levels” sais Siham Zahidi, Greensmile CEO and show director.
“30% of the delegates who attented were women” also informed Siham. The Morocco tomato Conference became no doubt the prefered gateway to a world of innovation, collaboration, and growth. This event brings together industry leaders, experts, and enthusiasts to explore the latest trends, share insights, and foster meaningful connections. The conference counted with 41 sponsors from the preharvest and postharvest technology, as well as producers organisations. Morocco exports annually around 600,000 tons of fresh tomato, 45% being round tomato, 55% tomato specialties.
