Live from Macfrut: great interest from the Mediterranean area, Africa and China

This year as well Macfrut numbers exhibitors from over 80 countries and many visitors, with more presence of foreign visitors than the past editions.

A huge number of visiting delegations, all rather crowded, and very strong presence from Egypt: even the plenipotentiary Minister of Agricultural Affairs, Mr. Essam Fayed, was yesterday at the exhibition, together with the business manager of the Egyptian Embassy in Rome. The Egyptian producers exhibit in a stand collecting the main operators, stand on behalf of the Agricoltural Export Council.

Important delegations also from Nigeria (17 persons) and in particular from the Kwara State, lying in the West side, the richest area of the country. The State Governor himself was present. Worth quoting also the Ambassador of Zimbawe and the delegate of the Kenya Embassy.

In addition, a large group of representatives of the large distribution chains from Russia visited the exhibition with great interest, and specifically asked to visit local supermarkets, accompanied by one of the Coop Italia managers.

To sum up, relevant delegations from all over the Mediterranean Basin - Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Turkey - but also great interest from China, with a stand of the Ministry of Agriculture and a workshop scheduled for today, arranged directly and with the support of the University of Bologna, Cesena branch, to propose business opportunities in China to future partners from Italy and abroad.
