Successful first year for Tropibana

Tropibana, an importer, ripener and wholesaler of fruit and spices from the southern hemisphere achieved turnover of EUR 5 million in its first year.
The company, based on the wholesale market of Rungis, France, was established in November 2004.
The company is a wholesaler and ripener of bananas, and also imports a number exotic and out of season fruit such as avocados, mangos, grapefruit, and ethnic products and spices such as ginger and manioc.
For 2006, the company aims to increase its sales thanks to the liberalisation of several products from Latin America, notably bananas.
