CMA CGM: agreement with Adani Ports for a new container terminal

CMA CGM has announced the signing of an agreement with APSEZ (Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone) for the development of a new Container Terminal in the Port of Mundra.
This will be the fourth Mundra Container Terminal; a length of 650 meters with a storage area of 27 hectares, it will handle 1.3 million TEUs annually. The construction phase will last 24 months. This global terminal will start with 4 gantry cranes of 65 tons lifting capacity capable of handling ships of 18,000 TEUs. These cranes will be by far the largest and first of its kind in India.
For CMA CGM, container terminal of Mundra is the first Port investment of the Group in India and demonstrates its ambition to strengthen its presence in this strategic high-growth countries. CMA CGM has been present in India since 1984. With approximately 500 employees and 24 branches, CMA CGM serves 9 ports in India and offers its Indian customers more than 8 direct shipping lines between India and rest of the world.
