Ginger exports by Peru exceed $15.5 million until February

Peru’s ginger exports in the first two months of 2023 increased in volume comparing to the same months of 2022, while sales almost remain unchanged.

 

According to Agrodata Perú, from January to February 2023, the country exported 12.187.342 kilos of the product worth $15.537.582.

 

In the same lapse of 2022, Peru shipped 11.471.428 kilos of ginger for $15.119.879.

 

This year, the United States positions itself as the major recipient of Peruvian ginger, constituting 39% of total value. The Netherlands forms 33%, United Kingdom 5%, Spain 5%, Germany 4%, Canada 4%, Korea 2%, among other destinations.
