Fairs, start of 2nd turkish Fresh Antalya

The Turkish trade exhibition Fresh Antalya (www.freshantalya.com), will be celebrated until Saturday 29th. Exhibitors are 94, Turkish in the main part. Visitors' attendance is so far quite good, being also of international level.
Being the only fair in Turkey focusing specifically on fresh fruit and vegetables, technologies and logistics, Fresh Antalya has filled an important deficiency of the Country in this field supporting the promotion of Turkish exporters and producers in the national and international platform.
Turkey has a special place in the global fresh fruit and vegetable production with its 43 million tons of annual production being an indication of the wide range and variety of agricultural production it is capable of.
The areas covered by the exhibitors are the following: fresh fruit and vegetables, nuts, herbs and spices, fresh fruit and vegetable products, fruit juice, canned fruit and vegetables, agricultural seeds, logistics and equipments, processing and storage technologies, packaging materials and technologies, laboratory equipments, associations and publications of the sector, training and consultancy services, certification organizations, insurance, banking and finance services.
Among the visitors: wholesalers, importers, growers-producers, exporters, agriculture engineers, academics, chain store representatives, representatives of sector associations, etc.
Antalya is situated at western part of Mediterranean Region and is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea. Overall surface of Antalya province is about 20,223 km2, representing 2.6% of overall surface area of Turkey. 415,016 ha, that is 20,16% of the total, are cultivation areas. Antalya is a city of fairs with its international airport, thousands of accommodation facilities and a professional fair exhibition center AEC where successful fairs in their sectors are organized.
