10 candidates for Fruit Logistica Innovation Award 2013

The Fruit Logistica Innovation Award jury, composed of experts from the production, quality management, distribution, wholesale and retail, as well as packaging and services, has selected the following candidates for the FLIA 2013:

- 5 am Tag e.V, Germany, “Frische ist Leben" campaign to promote the consumption of fruits and vegetables

- Abracad Technoworks BV, the Netherlands: “High speed counting and packing device", rapid packaging system

- Banken Champignons BV, the Netherlands: “Mushrooms to combine”, mixed mushrooms with recipes
 

- Behr AG, Germany : "Schwarzwurzeln/Steckrüben - küchenfertig geschält”, new ready-to-cook

- Ben-Dor Fruits and Nurseries Ltd., Israel : “Colored Apricots” different colours apricot range
 

- Elbe-Obst Fruchtverarbeitung mbH, Germany: “Apfel-Schiffchen®” dried apple slices
 

- GreenWatt SA, Belgium: "On-site biogas plant turning organic waste into energy” Single biograss transformation from from organic waste
 

- Sofruileg, France: “Nergi”, berry derived from kiwis
 

- Staay Food Group, the Netherlands:  "City-Farming” concept of urban production using LED lighting
 

- Tozer Seeds Ltd, UK: "Flower SproutTM”, new vegetable with green leaves - a cross between Brussels sprouts and kale.
