The 2003 asparagus season is likely to be good

The French asparagus season, which will start at the beginning of March, is likely to be of good quality. The Bassin Rhône Mediterrannée (south of France) forecasts 3 700 tons, the Bassin du Grand Sud-Ouest (south west of France) 3 500 tons and the Val de Loire (centre), 700 tons. Some 15% of the production will be exported.
