Made in Nature is a project funded by the European Union and CSO Italy to promote the consumption of organic products in Italy, France and Germany. In a recent webinar, the current situation of Italian and European organic products was discussed as well as future perspectives.
Participants stressed the importance of promoting organic production as demand in Europe increases and exports grow.
For Italy, data from Nomisma-Sana 2021, indicate an increase of +5% in 2021 compared to 2020, with a total organic sales value of 4.6 billion euros. The export of Italian organic products reached 2.91 billion euros in 2021, an increase of +11% compared to 2020.
Organic exports represent 6% of total Italian exports. Italy is now the 2nd largest exporter of organic products in the world, immediately after the United States and ahead of Spain, China and France.
The webinar was attended by Luca Mari (CSO Italy, Director of the Made in Nature project), Luca Zocca (Marketing Director at Brio), Paolo Pari (Director of Almaverde Bio), Francesco Ricchieri (Sales Director at Veritas Biofrutta) and Marie Mansuy-Fèvre (Director of Development in France for Conserve Italia).

Made in Nature has completed its first 3 years of activity. The project, funded by the European Union and CSO Italy, has promoted the consumption of organic products in Italy, France and Germany. Thanks to the various activities implemented, the results amount to more than 60,000 contacts, 27 million impressions; the actions at the point of sale total more than 1650 promotional days in France, 8000 days in Germany and 1500 days in Italy.
